Solar Pool Heaters
In our experience, pool heaters by Enersol have shown the fastest payback of all alternative energy systems. Most people with gas or electric pool heaters spend more to heat their pools than their homes. These solar pool heaters heat you pool 10F to 15F above air temperature just with the sun. Here is how the system works. Water coming from the pool passes through the pump and through the filter and is diverted through a valve to the collectors. This optional valve can be operated manually or with an automatic solar controller. This valve will need to be closed at night so the collector does not act like a radiator and cool the pool at night. Water is pumped into the lower header and through small tubes within a synthetic rubber mat. As the water is pumped up through the mat the sun heats the water. The water passes through the upper manifold and returns back to the pool.
The Canadian made Enersol pool heater is a very long lasting solar collector with an 18-year extended warranty. The materials used in the collectors are synthetic rubber and coloured PVC plastic and do not break down with pool chemicals or the sun’s UV rays. Whether you install it yourself or we install you will be assured of great performance for many years to come. Don’t be fooled by cheap imitations. The Enersol pool heater is sold in 2 parts; the panel kit and the system kit. The sizing guide, at the bottom of the page, shows how many panels you will need for your pool. There is only one system kit required per installation.
In each panel kit box are 4, 1’x 8’ or 4, 1’x10 solar panels, connecting clips, o-rings, mounting straps and screws. In each system kit is the connecting tool, spare o-rings, 2 end caps with removal plugs, a tube of roofing tar and an instructional DVD.
Enersol pool heaters may be mounted on the house or pump house roof, on a rack or even laid out on the ground. You have invested a lot of money into your pool. Extend the season and enjoy it earlier as well as later in the season.
